Slow Cooker Hawaiian BBQ Chicken
This Slow Cooker Hawaiian BBQ Chicken is sweet, savory, and incredibly tender. The combination of pineapple, barbecue sauce, and other flavors creates a deliciously tropical dish that's perfect for weeknight dinners or entertaining guests.
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup pineapple chunks
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish optional
Instructions:
Put chicken breasts in the crock pot
BBQ sauce, soy sauce, honey, chopped garlic, and grated ginger should all be mixed together in a bowl
Cover the chicken with the sauce mix
Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours, until the chicken is soft and fully cooked
Use two forks to shred the chicken when it's done
If you want, you can serve it hot with sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top
